Dipsalut and IDIBGI promote research in Girona's regional hospitals with four new grants

• This is the third edition of the call that promotes research activity in the regional hospitals of Girona's territory.
• Each of the four grants has a funding of €17,500 and is open to professionals from the regional hospitals of Blanes-Calella, Figueres, Olot, and Palamós.

The Autonomous Public Health Organization of the Diputació de Girona (Dipsalut) and the Girona Biomedical Research Institute Dr. Josep Trueta (IDIBGI) have launched the third call for grants to foster research in the regional hospitals of Girona. This year, four new grants are available to support translational clinical research projects.

Each grant provides €17,500 in funding for projects conducted in the regional hospitals of Blanes-Calella, Figueres, Olot, and Palamós.

This competitive initiative aims to strengthen research in regional hospitals and support studies that can positively impact public health.

Applications can be submitted until April 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

About IDIBGI

The Girona Biomedical Research Institute Dr. Josep Trueta (IDIBGI) focuses on translational research to improve health and patient care. Currently, IDIBGI has 25 research groups organized into five scientific areas: Cardiovascular and Respiratory, Metabolism and Inflammation, Neurosciences, Oncohematology, and Mental Health. These groups bring together over 400 healthcare professionals and basic researchers across Girona.

IDIBGI is a public foundation that includes the Government of Catalonia, the Catalan Institute of Health (ICS) Girona, the Institute of Health Assistance (IAS), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) Girona, and the University of Girona. It has been a CERCA (Catalan Research Centers) institution since 2005.
